Kirtan Rabbi has a new, beautiful website (KirtanRabbi.com). THE ART AND PASSION OF HEBREW KIRTAN
Kirtan Rabbi Retreat with Shoshana Jedwab
Join Kirtan Rabbi, Andrew Hahn and Shoshana Jedwab on an adventure as you immerse yourself in the art of facilitating Hebrew Kirtan. We will learn about the history of Jewish music and chant, as well as the growing role Kirtan is playing in our synagogues and rituals. We will also study breathing and meditation techniques, how to create chants and lead them as well as about the Indian background of this cutting-edge practice. No prior experience or knowledge of Hebrew necessary. Culminates in a live Kirtan Rabbi concert for the entire community.

Kirtan in Alex Grey's New Gallery

Final IYI Kirtan of the Season
On June 20th, we will hold the final of our 2008-09 Hebrew Kirtan series at the Integral Yoga Institute in New York. And what a year it has been! We have had many wonderful, guess appearances and teachers. We look forward to another wonderful year in 2009-10. Our special thanks go out to Achala, Terrence, Swami Ramananda, and the entire IYI staff.
This last kirtan will feature Josh Wotman and the Kirtan Rabbi Posse who will offer chants along with a grand finale by Reb Drew.

Kirtan Rabbi was recently featured in an interview with author Steven Rosen (The Yoga of Kirtan) in LA Yoga Magazine. He has also recently been reviewed in several other publications, including Integral Yoga Magazine and the May issue of Interfaith Today.
KR on Tour!
Kirtan Rabbi will spend much of 2009 and 2010 on the road. Planned are appearances in Australia in August, around the East Coast in the Fall, in Colorado in January, as well as in Europe, in the South and on the West Coast in 2010.
