Tai Chi Kavannah

“Bodyfulness Meditation.” A unique movement meditation program based in Jewish themes of the week. A martial art’s instructor for over thirty years who once led a large karate school, Reb Drew has been offering this unique, easy tai ch’i-based practice at synaplexes, retreat centers, yoga studios and college campuses for several years now. The general format is: Light warm-up exercises to generate energy; an encounter with a Jewish text or concept; more body-based meditation which explicates the text physically. Typical sessions last one hour.
