Achat Sha’alti (one thing I seek) – the CD
This second album from Kirtan Rabbi, offers something completely different from the much-heralded Kirtan Rabbi: Live! Produced in an intimate Greenwich Village setting, these Hebrew chants are characterized by soothing vocals, dreamy loops, and hypnotic world rhythms. As with the first CD, the words are drawn from the Hebrew Bible and the siddur (the traditional Jewish prayerbook), as well as from the language of Kabbalah (Jewish mysticism). Unless otherwise noted, all melodies are by Rabbi Andrew Hahn.
Kirtan Rabbi Live! (the CD)
Kirtan Rabbi: Live! was recorded after sundown on June 14, 2008 at Congregation B’nai Jeshurun in New York City. Unless otherwise noted inside, all melodies are by Rabbi Andrew Hahn. The words are drawn from the Hebrew Bible and the siddur (the traditional Jewish prayerbook), as well as from the language of kabbalah (Jewish mysticism).
